Publishing Principles:

We recognise that our customers are typically at the beginning of their treatment journey. Our blogs and information are designed to support and reassure our customers during a very worrying and unfamiliar situation.

Advice is qualified by the following statement which is found on the footer of every web page: The views and advice given on this website are based upon our personal experiences. They do not replace the advice of your doctor, nurse or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Blogs are based upon our personal experiences of having, managing and caring for a PICC line over many months during treatment with chemotherapy.

Images of products are actual and are taken in near studio conditions. Image editing is limited to the removal of backgrounds and colour balancing to permit reasonable representation of the product on screens and devices. Artworks, logos and graphics are generated using a variety of techniques including AI. All images are original  and are Copyright© of PICC-Me Ltd unless acknowledged.

Where we have provided informational videos, these are drawn from recognised, authorised sources such as the UK NHS. Referenced clinical papers are from recognised peer reviewed sources.

A library of external links to independent cancer and related support organisations and charities is provided to further assist visitors to find the help and guidance they need.

Product descriptions are designed to clearly describe our products in a positive tone but without over embellishment. Visual icons are provided to highlight key features.

The site does not permit comments, blogs or posts from any external source.

We publish testimonials from customers only where they have provided them voluntarily. PICC-Me does not seek, request or reward those providing testimonials.

Ownership & Funding:

PICC-Me LTD is a private limited company, registered with Companies House. It is co-owned by its directors. The company is racially diverse and is female led.

Neither PICC-Me Ltd nor its Directors receive any funding, grant or support from any external body or organisation.

We pay UK income tax and UK corporation tax. PICC-Me Ltd is a Cancer UK donor.

Actionable Feedback policy:

At PICC-Me we value feedback from our customers. Since its foundation, we have developed our ranges and updated our services by reviewing the feedback we have received.

We provide three primary feedback routes: our ‘Get in touch‘ page, accessible from the Home Page, our Returns page, where customers returning items have a range of check-box options and a text box to include additional feedback and via our Order Confirmation page. All feedback forms are returned to a Director for action.

Where the customer has provided a phone number (which is our preferred mode of contact), follow up will be made by a Director. We recognise that personal contact is always preferable to email which is impersonal.

We provide both email and mobile phone access to Customer Care which is monitored by a Director on a continuous basis. Customer responses are made by a Director.

Corrections policy:

The PICC-Me website does not permit comments or reviews of our blogs, therefore corrections are limited to content presentation, order processing and order dispatch.

Where errors are identified they will be corrected at Director level. The primary aim being that the customer is satisfied with the resolution.

Order packing errors:
These are rare but can occur. As a cross-check, we photograph every order to record its final assembly before dispatch. Correction is through refund and/or replacement.

Delivery errors:
Where orders have not been delivered in a timely manner, we will refund or replace at our discretion after consultation with the customer.

Customer Returns:
Where customers return items in line with our returns policy, we always aim to ensure that replacement or refund is made in a timely manner.

Credit/Debit Card errors:
Card processing is via our card processor – PayPal UK Ltd. Card transactions are deliberately at arms length for enhanced customer security. Therefore we have no interaction with a customer’s card transaction. Where errors have occurred we will assist the customer to resolve them where possible.

Ethics policy:
PICC-Me is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in its business activities. This policy applies equally to the Directors, employees and contractors.
